✦ Safety & Guidelines
We'd rather rehabilitate you than remove you.
Rules only matter if people understand why they exist. Here's the actual system — not just a wall of "don'ts."
Our biggest departure from most servers
A non-ban policy, genuinely
Bangwing IN prioritizes rehabilitation over removal. Instead of banning people outright, we lean on permanent mutes, a real appeal process, and graduated responses that scale with severity and intent.
Intent is actually checked before consequences are decided: an honest mistake gets education, not punishment. Recklessness or malice gets treated a lot more seriously. Moderation is human-led throughout, with cultural context factored in — not a bot issuing verdicts.
If something feels unfair
Here's exactly how to report it
Type $ticket anywhere
Opens a private channel with admins, instantly — no need to find the right person first.
Tag @mod or @help
Gets you direct assistance from staff or the wider community fast.
File it in Complaint Box
Include what happened, who was involved, when, and any evidence. Your identity stays confidential by default.
Nothing gets resolved in public call-outs — that's by design. Staff can't let bias or personal feelings influence a decision, every case is evidence-based, and if a complaint doesn't go your way, there's a real escalation path up to senior staff and, if needed, bangwings@zohomail.in directly.
The rulebook, department by department
Eight departments, in plain language
The full legal-style wording lives in-server. Here's what each one actually means for you.
- Share real opinions without fear of retaliation — as long as it doesn't degrade anyone for who they are.
- Satire has to actually read as satire. "It was a joke" doesn't undo harm after the fact.
- No dangerous misinformation — fake health cures, conspiracy presented as fact, doxxing information.
- Criticize decisions and actions, not someone's character or identity.
- You're always told why a moderation action was taken against you.
- Post your own work, or get permission and credit the original creator.
- Everything needs to work for a community that includes members aged 13 and up.
- No reaction-begging, mass-tagging, or manipulating engagement for visibility.
- Zero exceptions, no gray area: nothing sexual involving minors, no hate symbols, nothing glorifying self-harm.
- A stated boundary is final. Pushing past it — even by guilt-tripping — counts as harassment.
- Before jumping to solutions: "do you want advice, or just someone to listen?"
- No backseat moderating — report an issue to staff instead of publicly calling someone out.
- Real apologies name the specific action, its impact, and what changes. Not just "sorry."
- Respect whoever's DJing — don't skip or disrupt songs you didn't queue.
- No phishing links, IP grabbers, or "free Nitro" scams. Ever. Ask staff to verify if unsure.
- Give other people room — don't monopolize an event or a discussion.
- Be patient with time zones and with members still learning English.
- This department governs staff behavior, not member behavior.
- Personal feelings or bias are not allowed to influence enforcement decisions.
- Your privacy is protected by default the moment you file a report.
- Decisions are evidence-based — timestamps, screenshots and specifics genuinely help your case.
- Reporting something never puts your identity at risk. Retaliation against a reporter is itself a serious violation.
- "They started it" does not excuse your own violations.
- Intent genuinely changes the outcome: accidents get education, malice gets serious consequences.
- Found a loophole? Report it through Feedback — exploiting it is treated as its own violation.
- You can't judge the whole server off one bad interaction with one person.
- Different humor, energy levels, and communication styles are all genuinely welcome.
- Discomfort gets managed through blocking and channel choice — not by demanding someone else be excluded.
- Age, religion, nationality, and language are never grounds for exclusion.
- Community-first, transparently: funding goes back into the server, not out of it.
- No pay-to-win systems, no data exploitation, no paid moderation roles.
- Membership unlocks content access — not a competitive advantage over anyone else.
Age-appropriate by design
13+ generally. 18+ spaces are actually gated.
General and public channels are kept family-friendly and safe for our 13+ community. Anything more mature sits behind genuine 18+ age verification, in its own separate space — not just a warning label on the same channel everyone else uses.
Mental health & well-being
You're allowed to not be okay here
Members can seek support openly — content glorifying self-harm or suicide isn't permitted, but talking about struggling with either is never treated as a violation. There are designated vent channels for heavier emotional content, and late-night voice chats exist for exactly the kind of conversation that helps at 1am.
If you're going through something difficult, the community can be a genuine support — but it isn't a substitute for professional help when you need it.
